Setting
Hard sci-fi. Six centuries since the Diaspora. ~10,000 known systems. No galactic government — the speed of light forbids it.
Powers
Four civilizations share the map. Imperium and Greens are the majors. Church and Utopians are smaller, fiercer outliers. The Greens are alien.
FTL
Recent. Slow. Expensive. Headlines only — government and large-corp tier. The detail still rides ship-speed couriers.
Propulsion
Antimatter at the top tier — ~1,000 g sustained. Anti-gravity damping is universal, or no one survives the burn.

Time
Real-time, continuous. 60× compression — one player minute is one in-game hour. The universe ages while you're away.
Combat
Strategic, not tactical. Fully 3D. Engagements unfold over hours. Detection is the first move; the fire exchange is the consequence.
Command
Order-driven, not piloted. Crew and AI run the engagement. No twitch, no aim, no joystick. AI is engine plumbing — never an in-fiction agent.

You read the brief on your phone, type a reply, and her crew executes.
This isn't autopilot. It's command. The game is on, even when you're not.

In many of the galaxy's gas giants, something is alive.
